My Bunny Face

I created this on Photoshop using Vector Graphics. We usually use Raster/BITMAP graphics but the Vector ones are easy to use and very small file sizes.  It was easier than I thought it would be and I think it came out quite well!
The face was just a big grey ellipse. They rest of the features (apart from the mouth and whiskers) were also ellipses, all placed on new layers. This made them very easy to manipulate and move around.
I made each feature layer by layer, placing and then creating another and duplicating where necessary - the eyes, ears and cheeks.
The whiskers and mouth are just lines, also placed on new layers and moveed about. The drooping ear is just a cleverly placed ellipse.
And that is it!

Monster face!

Today in ICT we used photoshop to create monster faces. It wasn't as simple as it looked but I did get the hang of it quickly enough for me to be able to make a cute monster face. I think the eyes were the hardest and they definitely took the longest. But I successfully learnt to use the clone tool, so the eyes are identical.
The mouth was simple once I knew the method. Draw a circle, then minus a circle from it. It gave the mouth a crescent shape and I was able to add yellowy teeth.
The nose is just one of the special brushes, and the hair is a blobby brush painted around a bit to give the monster a shock of hair.
The finished picture is below!

My Coverrr!

For cutting out the sign and the people, I used Magic Extractor.
For writing my name in the sky, I colour-picked the original cloud colour and wrote my name with the paintbrush, not typing.
For the rest of how I made the cover, see the post below :D
BTW: My actual surname is on the cover but is blacked out for internet safety :)))

My finished album cover!!

I have now finished my album cover - version 2 at least. The name of the album is Five Miles Out - i chose a background picture of a long road to fit that. To put the album title in I found a picture of a STOP sign and edited the STOP into saying FIVE MILES OUT. I wanted people walking on the road, so I found a picture of a boy and a girl walking down a street and cut them out to put them on my road. Now they really look like they fit. Originally that was my finished cover, but today I added my name - as clouds in the sky!

Photoshop Project

Last week, this week and over the next few weeks, we're creating CD covers on Photoshop in ICT! It seems really fun because I like Photoshop... the name of the album has to be "Five Miles Out" so obviously the cover has to reflect that. I'm also creating a CD cover for some of my own CDs in my spare time - FUN!

A reflection on Internet Safety

In  yesterday's lesson we were discussing safety on the internet. We were shown a video - and a seriously creepy video at that! A 20-something-year-old man was stalking a fourteen-year-old girl, and he was able to do it because she had put all her details on Bebo. It was really freaky and will definitely help me think twice about putting any details of any kind on Facebook or Bebo.

Did You Know? Video

I think this video was really cool! It really showed how computers are basically taking over the planet and soon we probably not have newspapers or books. It's really sad because even though computers are cool and all I wouldn't want to completely depend on them.
